CGC's "Sweet 16" anniversary year: The final special event for our Sweet 16 year was a special Alumnae Choir concert on June 21. We had approximately 45 CGC alums who participated in this special concert, including 3 of our 5 seniors who graduated this year. Those of you who attended were privileged to hear a remarkable performance by an incredibly talented group of young women, directed by John Dyer, the founder of the Chattanooga Girls Choir. We were especially delighted by the return of Holli Harrison, now a soloist with the Pittsburgh Opera Company. There was more than one moist eye in the room during the evening, especially during the beautiful "Ave Maria" by Franz Biebl (performed with the men's ensemble of the Bach Choir), during "Battle Hymn of the Republic", and of course while the alums and the tour choir sang "Edelweiss" together. It was truly a memorable event.
