SPRING BREAK NEXT WEEK - NO CGC REHEARSALS ON MARCH 20!

From Our Director
The Concert Choir will be traveling to Nashville on Friday, March 31 to sing for the Tennessee Music Educators Conference. They will be a part of a session "Teaching Critical Thinking Skills During a Choral Rehearsal." The girls will be riding together on a bus. We need 4-6 parents/chaperones for the trip. Please call the choir office at 266-9422 to volunteer. We will leave the FBC at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the evening. The girls will be given permission letters to take to teachers and principals.

The next Concert Choir Mother's Rehearsal is Saturday, April 1.

Many of you have been asking where the CGC office will be moving. Well, the decision has been made and we are moving to the St. Andrews Center, 1918 Union Avenue in Highland Park. The St. Andrews Center provides cultural, spiritual and educational opportunities to the local community and provides a home base to other non-profit agencies with missions in harmony with its own. We look forward to having an Open House to show off our new location sometime this spring. Watch High Notes for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities
The year is slipping away and there are many of you who have not fulfilled your volunteer hours yet. This commitment is important in order to keep the choir running as a vital organization. Four volunteer hours are required per family. Volunteer hours that

are not fulfilled by April 15 will be billed at $25.00 an hour. The following opportunities are available and are easy ways to fulfill the time needed. Call the office or stop by the tables during rehearsal on Mondays to sign for any of these activities. You will then be contacted by the committee chair or the choir office to arrange a time.

  • Store front candy sales: March 25
  • Ticket sales or ushering at the spring concert
  • Stage help for the spring concert
  • Help with risers for the spring concert
  • Painting and general clean-up of the new choir office space.
  • Help packing and moving boxes and office furniture for the office move.
  • Make phone calls for auditions

Bella Voce
The Bella Voce Choir has been invited to participate in a Culture Fair at GPS on Tuesday evening, April 18. More information will follow.

Save the date! Back by popular demand, the Tour Choir will sponsor a dinner at the Pastaria on Signal Mountain on Sunday, April 23. There will be two seatings--5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Dinner and entertainment (by the Tour Choir) for $15.00.

Fundraising
We will be having store front sales at two locations on March 25, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Place tba.

If you have money still out for candy, please turn it in as soon as possible.
