To all choirs and parents:

One of the goals of the Chattanooga Girls Choir is to provide the participants with a knowledge of music theroy. In our limited rehearsal time, it is very difficult to include all of the facets of music education that we desire to cover. I would like to recommend to you a website that will be helpful in learning or reinforcing elements of music theory. The material is from beginning to advanced, so wherever you level of music theory knowledge is, you can find something helpful.

The information is provided very sequentially in a programmed learning format of "lessons" and "trainers". Parents, please encourage your daughter to spend time weekly working her way through the material.

Fundraising - Cecilia Treece

• Did you know that the CGC has recorded a CD? They are available for you to purchase or sell for $10.00 each. The CD's are titled "For the Hoy of Music". Stop by the table during rehearsal and pick some up.
• We still have a few first aid kits available for $7.00 each. If you are interested in purchasing one see Cecilia during rehearsals.
• All flower bulb orders must be turned in today. To received your incentive prize for selling stop by the table to see Cecilia. To qualify you must sell 10 packets of flower bulbs. (You must have the order form to receive your prize.)
  
  All items sold will count toward your fundraising requirements
  
  Lolli-Notes are available in ten delicious flavors and may be purchased at rehearsal for $0.50 each

Seeking Marketing Volunteer - Beth Cobb

We are currently seeking a parent that has some marketing experience to serve as chairperson of our marketing committee and to help carry out the marketing plan that was established last year. The person in this role would be responsible for reviewing the marketing plan to determine the activities that need to occur and coordinating the volunteers to advertise the choir and the major concerts during the year. This would be a great way to help the choir and participate in your daughters' activities! If you would be willing to consider this, please call the choir office at 266-9422 or Beth Cobb at 842-6058
