Day 6: Limerick to Youghal (County Cork)

SCHEDULE:
8:30am Breakfast at the hotel
9:30am Check out of hotel and depart for Cork via Bantry
11:00pm Tour of Blarney Castle & chance to kiss the Blarney Stone
2:00pm Lunch on your own in Cork, then depart for Youghal
3:30pm Check into Walter Raleigh Hotel in Youghal
4:00pm Free time; change into concert dress
5:30pm Depart to Crosshaven in County Cork to meet your host choir
7:00pm Joint/Shared concert at the Holy Trinity Church
9:30pm Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight

"Wake up!" was the common catchphrase for the Chattanooga Girls Choir this morning as many realized that they did not receive their scheduled wakeup call to get dressed and come to breakfast. The girls were rushed and tired, but the promise of food and the upcoming visit to Blarney Castle hurried them along.
Though the morning was hectic, the girls were ecstatic to see the castle that is one of Ireland's most spectacular tourist attractions. Many even took the daring climb up the castle's spiral staircase to see the rooms of royalty and the amazing view from the top.
At the top, the girls were presented with the chance to get the gift of gab in exchange for a kiss to the Blarney Stone. The girls were literally bending over backwards to pucker their lips and receive this blabbering gift.
Later, the girls had a formal concert at the Holy Trinity Church in Crosshaven, where we sang a number of songs followed by the church's children's chorus. The concert ended with an exchange of blessings. There were many tear-filled eyes and both choirs received standing ovations.
