Mon., May 19: Tour Rehearsal
The 33 singers in the touring choir have
been rehearsing the tour repertoire one day a month since January. Next week they begin their daily rehearsal schedule leading up to their departure on June 6. Much of the music
comes from the material used in the spring concert, but Haydn's "Mass in Time of War" is a new addition that occupies many hours of rehearsal. Today the choir was privileged to have a very special guest director -- Dr. Kenneth Fulton, the very same director who will conduct the Haydn mass for all the choirs at the Linz Choral Festival in Austria!

Wed., June 4: Tour Choir Concert
The tour choir performs together for the first time in a concert at First Baptist Church for church members, family, and friends. After many hours of rehearsal, the sound the choir achieves is amazing (especially to those of us who heard the earliest rehearsals!) With a wonderful performance to boost their confidence and launch them on their way, the tour choir is ready at last to leave for beautiful Austria.
