July 13: Home to Chattanooga
Due to the fact that Thursday's update was sent early, I must inform you that Mr. Wigal did not escape having to dress in a choir uniform. Hillary and Susanna not only attired him, but also did his makeup for him. They then paraded him around the motel to tell all of the girls and chaperones good night. This was a special source of amusement for the truck drivers that were staying there. Friday's trip home went very smoothly, and we arrived at First Baptist at 5:30. Everyone was tired and ready to get home.
I would like to say a special THANK YOU to all of the chaperones, Kathy Thompson for her help with wardrobe, Sharon Gorforth for her very capable performance as choir nurse, and last, but certainly not least to our own Penny Tullock for sharing her talent and wit with the choir. I don't think she realizes sometimes what a tremendous role model she is for these girls. It is my sincere hope that all the participants in this tour enjoyed themselves, and I thank you all for your help.
Tarbell (a.k.a. Mr. Bootylicious)
Hillary Barber - The senior outing was the best part, because we saw the musical, Chicago (and, of course, I love Broadway)! I loved the Maid of the Mist boat tour of Niagara Falls, which put us right beneath the falls in the mist (hence the title of the boat). The tour allowed me to spend one final block of time with my friends from choir before I left for college, which meant a lot to me. Woo hoo Canada!
Susanna Randolph - This being my senior year, it was great touring with the girls one last time. Meeting the new people at the festival, watching door knobs fly across, learning that duct tape can indeed fix everything, feeling the mist of the falls as the water cascaded down before my eyes, and seeing Mr. Wigal's expression during the first monologue of Chicago, this is one trip not easily forgotten. Thanks to all the girls who made this trip so much fun.
Jessica Thompson - This trip has been awesome and filled with many wonderful experiences (Niagara Falls, the House of Parliament, the canal ride through Montreal, the festival, etc.)! I also became friends with many girls in the choir that I didn't really know that well before. Well, considering all of the new tour staff and members planning the trip this year, I think that this tour has gone really, really well! Woo Hoo Canada!!!! :)
~*Laura Click*~ - Greetings to everyone from Canada (well, the U.S., we just crossed over the Canadian border)! The trip has been great fun as well as a great learning experience, the great fun: the Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist boat ride; the learning experience: The Niagara Music Festival with all of us and the other five choirs being led under the conduction of Dr. Martha Shaw. This is definitely a trip I will never ever forget! Woo Hoo Canada!!!!!
~Sarah Cate Patten~ - Canada is awesome. As far as culture goes, Canada is not much different from the U.S. But, once you get into Montreal, Quebec, things totally change. I loved Montreal: the culture, the feel of the city, and definitely the shopping! Over all the trip has been great. Pierre (Mr. Wigal) and Mr. Bootylicious (Mr. Patten, my daddy!) have breen great at controlling their tempers. I know it takes a lot of strength to take on a job like this, and I admire them for handling things as they did. Oh, and don't blame Canada! haha!
**Amanda Voccio** - I have had a great time on this trip, it has been the best one yet! I loved The Falls, and Casa Loma, Montreal was so pretty. We have had the best time, joking with Mr. Bootylicious, and Andres (Mr. Wigal, Uncle Wiggly). I hope that we have a great trip next year, maybe Hawaii **hinthint**!!!!!
***Krystle Madison*** - This tour has been really fun. To me, it was one of the most organized tours that I have been on. I liked how we got to see a lot of different things and cultures. I learned more about music and got to meet and work with a lot of new people. I really enjoyed singing with about four or five other choirs and listening to about four or five different styles of music.
***Sally Connor*** - I really enjoyed this trip a little better than last year (even though we went to Disneyland). We got to go more places and meet other choirs and I really enjoyed it! We had so many inside jokes and it was really great. Thank you Mr.Bootylicious, Piggilywiggily a.k.a Andres for your good looks!
